How do i download files?
Downloading from MultiMediaShare - File
1. Enter the URL (address) of the file you would like to download in the address bar of your browser. The area highlighted above is the File ID and determines the file which you will be downloading from the server.
2. Upon entering and browsing to the page of the file you would like to download, you will be presented with a page similar to above. Obivously, the file name, size, description etc... aswell as the 'captcha' number will vary. To download the file enter the number contained in the image, in this case 575, into the text box next to the image and click 'Submit', if you are unable to read the numbers in the image, simply click redraw and you will be presented with a new image to use.
3. Depending on your account type you may have to wait a certain period of time before you are able to download the file. Once the timer has reached 0, you will be presented with the 'Download' button which you press to retrieve the file.

Can I resume broken downloads?
Yes, you can resume broken downloads. Some programs support the resuming of broken files and even segmented downloads. This means, you can download the same file with many streams, resulting in higher download-speed.

Can I delete my uploaded files?
Yes! After your upload, you will get two links. The download-link, which you give to everyone you want, and a delete-link, which you keep for yourself. Just click on the delete-link and your file will be deleted immediately.

Which download accelerators can I use?
You may use any of the major accelerators, a few popular ones are: Speedget, Download Accelerator Plus, GetRight, FlashGet and GoZilla.

I have upgraded to a Premium account, Why is my download slow?
Please make sure you have enabled cookies on your browser. Since our system recognizes Premium download capability by cookies. Also make sure you do not have software installed, which blocks the sending of cookies. Some firewalls for example may do this.

What is the maximum allowed size for uploaded files?
The maximum file size you can upload depends on your account type. Files with a larger file size than the allowed maximum for your current account type will be rejected.

How do i use MultiMediaShare Search
|
Searching for files
The search function on MultiMediaShare works on the basis of keywords or tags. When a user uploads a file they have the choice of adding a description or tag/keywords to accompany the file. They also have the choice of adding no keywords or tags and not allowing the file to be searchable. This can be useful when the file being uploaded is personal and the user does not wish for others to access the file without being sent the link.
To search for a file simply enter a keyword that may be associated with the file you are looking for and click search. Your results will be present at the bottom of the page.

Search the web
This allows you to search the internet using the Google search engine. This function is not powered by MultiMediaShare and is provided by Google.

How do I sign up for an account?
You can sign up for a free account on the sign up page. You need to choose a username and password that you will use to upload files to your account. We also require you to enter a valid email address when you join. We send a confirmation email to this address with instructions on how to activate your account.

Can I sign up for more than 1 account?
Free accounts are limited to 1 (one) per individual. If a user is has more than 1 (one) free account, we may delete all their accounts without notice.

How do I access my account?
Once you have signed up and confirmed your account, you can login to it on the login page. While logged in to your account you can Form upload,URL upload files,>,FTP upload files, browse the files you have already uploaded and get the urls required to download/delete the files.

Help! I've forgotten my username or password.
If you forget your login details for your account we can send a reminder to the email address you registered with us when you created your account. Just follow the instructions on the password reminder page.

How do I upgrade to a paid account?
If you require the features provided by our Premium account, you can upgrade to a paid account on the upgrade page. Payment is accepted via PayPal, your account will be upgraded automatically after payment.
